I choose to document quiet moments cut off from the city's busy energy. These moments bear witness to unexpected encounters which highlight distinct and contrasting elements that concurrently intertwine and battle for their respective presence and place. Thus, conflicting components such as monumentality and temporariness, man-made constructions, and natural environments, become the materials that form the photographic fabric. In this attempt to explore the local culture, I document and emphasize on the one hand the space’s planning, organization, and meticulous regulation; and on the other, its prevailing chaos and spontaneity.
